About me

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Earth System Science group at the Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS), in Görlitz, Germany.

My research focuses on movement ecology study design, and animal-road interactions. My PhD was based in Thailand, working on the spatial-temporal patterns of wildlife-vehicle collisions in a Thai biodiversity hotspot, with a secondary focus on bat communities. I am particularly interested in movement ecology and road ecology.

🚧 I’m currently working on:

movedesign, an interactive Shiny app to support movement study design, leveraging the ctmm package.
studydesign_ms, an extension to the workflow presented in the first movedesign manuscript, designed to facilitate study design with a focus on population-level inferences.

📄 Recently, I have worked on:

AKDE_minireview_ms, a comprehensive review and tutorial for autocorrelated home range estimation using R.

💬 I’m looking to collaborate on:

  • Animal movement analyses
  • Study design for animal tracking projects
  • Wildlife-vehicle collision analysis and mitigation
  • Open-source tools and reproducible science in ecology

If you’re looking for a collaborator, advice, or assistance on any movement or road ecology topic, please reach out. I’d be happy to help!
